When your river can't. Waterhay can.

Waterhay Lake offers year-round access for organised club training and regattas — keeping crews on the water when home stretches are off-limits due to flooding, freezing, poor water quality or Environment Agency red and black boards.

Your backup water, ready when you need it - for one-offs or a full season.

It's a little shorter than a championship course, but it's more than long enough to train on - so we're very happy with the lake!

Moss, Head Coach Junior Squad - City of Oxford RC

A facility like this means we can keep them on the water all the way through winter after they learn to row, which means - when we come into the summer season - they're far more excited about rowing.

Sam, Junior Coordinator - City of Oxford RC

Compared to our flooded river in Oxford, this is fantastic. It's flat water, 1.7km long... it's great, we're loving it! They're delighted in the distance they can cover on calm waters.

Dan & Sarah, parents of junior rowers using Waterhay Lake

It's so quiet and no-one else is here. They're really loving it. They joined a rowing club, not a gym club. It demoralises them when they can't row. They want to be on the water - gym sessions just aren't the same. This is great!
